Evan Urkofsky was born and raised in Los
Angeles. He received his first snare drum for X-Mas when he was 11.
He'd set that bad boy up in front of the stereo and rock out to 3 Dog
Night's "Joy to the World" all day long! First piece of music
he could read? The March to "Hogan's Heroes."
At 15, he studied rock and jazz with Kelly Rhoades, brother of the
infamous Randy. It is the slight infusion of jazz techniques that gives
Evan his interesting, masterful, joyous, tasteful, goofy, brilliant,
musical sound. And that's just with his left hand!
Evan then attended Yale, where he received his Doctorate in Percussion,
graduating Solo Drum Laudely.
Evan has played in such notorious L.A. bands as Ayn Rand, R.I.P. MU
and The Eyeshadows.
He is currently in the XTC cover band Drummed
and Wired.
Turn ons: Puppy Kisses; Unicorns; BJ's (getting, not giving!)
Turn offs: Smog; Judgemental People; Chicks with scabs "down there."
Evan currently resides.
